Ssang Yong service centre opens in Inanam

KOTA KINABALU: Official importer and distributor of Ssang Yong vehicles, Competitive Supreme Sdn Bhd (CSSB) opens its modern sales, service and parts (3S) centre today.

The centre is located at Lot 2, Taman Industri Warisan Indah at Mile 7 of Tuaran road in Inanam near here and has a modern and fully equipped workshop, ample storage for parts, a showroom area and a customer lounge.

“We have invested quite a substantial amount of money to provide professional and efficient service in Sabah. The newly opened Ssang Yong 3S centre has everything that a customer needs,” CSSB group marketing and communications manager, Razman Kassim said.

The company is also confident that its new 3S centre will enhance customer confidence in Ssang Yong brand and in turn boost sales in Sabah.

In conjunction with the opening of the Ssang Yong 3S centre, all customers of Ssang Yong in Sabah will receive free servicing for their vehicles.

Speaking to reporters here yesterday, Razman said CSSB has already managed to sell more than 900 units within the first half of this year.

It started operation in 2002 and 2003 when it began its first full year of business, 1,500 were sold nationwide. The following year the figure rose to 2,000 units.

He said the company is happy to note that the Ssang Yong brand had been well received and the company therefore anticipated to gain greater market share in Sabah.

CSSB has six regional 3S centres located in the country with three in the peninsula, two in Sarawak located in Miri and Kuching and the latest one in Kota Kinabalu.

Besides the six 3S centres, it also has an ultramodern service centre in Kuala Lumpur and a modern showroom located at Lot 8, ground floor, Wisma KKM, Mile 5, Jalan Turaran in Inanam.

The facilities complement and support CSSB’s network of over 70 sales and26 service dealer outlets nationwide.

SsangYong is serious in further developing business in the country and recently signed an MOU with the Automotive Manufacturers Malaysia Sdn Bhd to assemble Ssang Yong cars locally.

Produstion is expected to begin by the end of this year and the award winning Ssang Yong Rexton SUV will be the first to roll off the assembly line.

Other Ssang Yong Models like Stavic MPV and others will follow in the future.
